You love your Mac®. It's beautiful. It's a pleasure to use. Heck, it's a philosophy. So, why would you leave it exposed and unprotected? It deserves better.
Enter apeelz. Tah Dah.
Life happens. And the more important your Mac becomes, the more you keep it with you. Bumps. Jostles. Slips. It's inevitable. But your computer shouldn't have to suffer for it.
In geek terms, it's like a force field for your warp core.
(Don't you hate that you understood that?)
Designed from day one to add a layer of protection (and even more than that...but more about that later) to your Mac, apeelz uses an 8 mil self-healing Scotchgard™ Protection Film originally designed by 3M™ for the Defense Department to protect the
leading edges of helicopter rotor blades while in flight.
In addition to being used by the military, 3M protective film is used extensively in the Auto and Motorcycle industry to protect headlights and painted surfaces.
And if it can protect aircraft at hundreds of miles an hour and cars at dozens of miles an hour, it can certainly help protect your Mac from the hustle and bustle of your daily life.
Perfectly Clear? Crystal.
Even though you'll have all of that protection (and peace of mind) when out and about, we would never ask you to do it while hiding the art that is your Mac mobile.
That's why
we created apeelz out of material that is crystal clear and virtually invisible.
If you are applying it to an iBook or Mini, the only thing you'll see are the edges of the apeelz.
The rest will be optically clear glossy goodness.
Your MacBook Pro or PowerBook will get a new gloss finish that accentuates its rich aluminum finish.
Strong, yes. But cut well too.
The quality of apeelz protective film is just part of the story.
Another aspect is fit and finish.
Countless man-years, millions of dollars and thousands of lives (okay, a lot of
hours and one of us got a paper cut) were spent custom measuring and fitting the die templates for each of the apeelz we sell.
A careful balance of coverage and ease-of-application was achieved.
Edges line up.
Ports are accessible.
RAM, battery release, etc., are all accessible without removing your apeelz.
Speaking of applying and removing (sorry, we needed a segue there), apeelz can be wet-applied, meaning that you can wet the film, slide it around and have time to line up all the edges and remove any bubbles before the adhesive dries. When you want to remove or replace your apeelz (yep, after a while, they get scratched up and need replacing...but better apeelz than your Mac case, right? Glad we got that sorted out), just lift a corner and slowly peel them off. To coin a phrase: no fuss, no muss.
Bonus points.
apeelz also have a few other bonuses that even we didn't think of until we started using them on our Mac mobiles.
Adding them to your TrackPad increases "scroll feel."
And adding them to your TrackPad button (available only on certain models) and your case bottom gives a better tactile "grip" response and traction... thumbs don't slide or skitter when you click and your Mac won't slide off your lap.
Lastly, apeelz have excellent thermal properties and won't cause your mobile to run any hotter.
Because, those things run pretty toasty as it is.
